TiP02. the best of chapsticks

TiP02. the best of chapsticks
so, like i said, i'm thinking about converting this into a tip account, and this is from my regular account, not stolen.
--
so, i don't know about you, but i am eternally connected to some sort of chapstick or lip balm, so i figured i'd make a review of the best/my favorite ones.

O1. eos smooth spheres~
i'm pretty sure most of you have heard of or seen these. (they're the ones in the picture, btw) you can buy them at most drugstores for around $3.50
pros;
-cute shape
-good flavors(my personal faves are passion fruit and sweet mint)
cons;
-sorta greasy
-don't nourish your lips very well

burt's bees~
again, i'm pretty sure most people have heard of it, and if you haven't, your parents probably have. they're made from organic beeswax and are supposed to be really good.
pros;
-an AMAZING variety of products
-they have tinted chapsticks
-feel and smell good
cons;
-expensive (anywhere from $3-6)
-get used up quickly

soft lips~
use lots of natural moisturizers and are more subtle
pros;
-go on easily
-natural & subtle
-cheap (around $2.50)
cons;
-sometimes too subtle
-a little greasy

c.o. bigelow~
these lip products are my favorite, definitely, but they come with a price ($7.50 for most :/ ) however, they have both lip balm and lip gloss, both of which are really great, and bath and body works has sales a lot. also, most of them have menthol in them
pros;
-smell & taste good
-super nourishing
-have tinted lip gloss and balm
cons;
-expensive /:

that's all i have, and i know they're pretty typical, but i think they're the best options. let me know if you have any more suggestions, and if you have any requests, pm me!
xx

01. ORGANiZiNG your closet;;

01. ORGANiZiNG your closet;;
so, if you're like most girls, you probably have a TON of clothes, and not a lot of closet, right?
here's some tips for organizing your closet--the basics, and my version of it

~ the first step to getting an organized closet is prioritizing. figure out what clothes you absolutely can't live with out and set them in a pile.

these would include the basics to creating an outfit, like camis/tanks, cardigans, and any tops/bottoms that you wear frequently.

~ next, go through all your clothes and any ones that you haven't worn in awhile should go in a pile to be sent to goodwill, or sold in a yard sale.

also, in some places, there's a thrift store that will take "fashionable" clothes and give you money for them, or you could swap clothes with your friends.

~ I'm pretty sure that most of us have at least a few what i call "tourist tees", or the crew-neck t-shirts that you got from school or a trip to new york. (these are great for lazy day outfits and house/yard work, btw) take them and put them in another pile

if you can't tell, i work in a pile system. whatever separation technique works for you, use it.

~ take all undergarments/socks, etc. (if they aren't already in a separate place), and yes, pile them(;
♥♥
so, now that you've cleaned out your closet, you can start re-organizing it.
♥♥
~ start with all the clothes that need to be hung. this includes blouses, cardigans, jeans, and other bottoms.

~ hang the cardigans either toward the front or back of your closet, all together, and organized either by color or style

~ for hanging the tops and blouses, i prefer color coding, but you could also organize by material, or season for wearing.

~ do the same for the other hanging items. group them by the same type and then some other way of organization

~now with the other items of clothing that haven't been hung up... if you have a dresser, or shelf system in your closet, this would be the best option for you (i think)

~if you can't hang up everything in your closet, take out some items that won't get wrinkled if they are folded, and put them on a shelf or in a drawer or basket.

~another space saving tip, in summer you don't use heavy jackets a whole lot, so you can put them in a rubbermaid tub or something and store them somewhere else.

~if you don't have a dresser or shelves, you can buy a hanging clothes organizer that creates fabric shelves. you can put your clothes in here and also easily see what you have at a glance.
♥♥♥

i think that's pretty much it(:
i know it was SUPER long, but i hope it manages to help someone. share it with your polyfriends if you like it, and i hope you like my first tip!
